Home Depot continues to allow ICE to use its properties as hunting grounds for non-violent, law-abiding immigrants. Join us Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon on the sidewalk by the Largo Home Depot at 10689 Ulmerton Road to peacefully urge our fellow community members to boycott Home Depots across the state and country. Sign up here.
Join the Florida Interfaith Coalition and allies for a Freedom Vigil every Sunday at the Pinellas County Justice Center at 14250 49th St. N. in Clearwater. Weekly from 4-5 p.m., together we stand in prayer and solidarity to show our Florida immigrant neighbors that ICE should not be using our county jails. Sign up for ongoing updates.
The Trump administration is deploying ICE deep into the hearts of our communities in an effort to spread fear among immigrants. In many places across the country, immigrant families – even citizens – are terrified to go to work, do their shopping and go about their lives for fear they may be rounded up by unaccountable masked men.
We can and must stand up for immigrants and show they are essential and welcomed members of our communities.
Sign up now to visit local businesses. Ask owners or managers to post signs that declare their support for their immigrant neighbors and opposition to ICE, and to create a private area for employees that ICE cannot legally enter without a signed judicial warrant. These simple steps protect their employees from ICE and make all immigrants feel welcome.
Check out the Pinellas Protests website where you'll find a great list of state and local actions. You can sign up for email alerts as well.
